DJI Releases Remote ID Firmware Update for Mini 3 Pro and Air 3

The FAA has approved 12 new LAANC service providers for 2025, expanding automated airspace authorization coverage to additional airports nationwide.

Commercial pilots can now request real-time authorizations at 97% of controlled airspace locations. The expansion adds coverage for 23 previously unsupported regional airports.

New Coverage Areas

Pilots in Montana, Wyoming, and rural Alaska will see the biggest improvements. Several previously manual-authorization-only areas now support LAANC.

Check your preferred LAANC app for updated coverage maps. Aloft, AirMap, and Kittyhawk have all integrated the new areas.
